Ingredients:
- Kappa/tapioca-2(medium)
- Turmeric powder-1 tspoon
- Salt to taste
For Grinding:
- Grated coconut-1/2 cup
- Green chilli-4
- Turmeric powder-1 tspoon
- Cumin seeds-1 tspoon
- Garlic-2 cloves
- Curry leaves-1 pinch
For tempering:
- Oil-1 tspoon
- Dry red chilli-2
- Mustard-1/2 tspoon
- Curry leaves-1 pinch
Preparation:
(1)Peel off the tapioca. Chop it into thin round shapes (This helps to mash the tapioca very easily).
(2)Take the chopped pieces in a vessel. Boil it in water along with salt and turmeric powder. Once it is done drain the excess water. Mash it well.
(3)Grind all the ingredients under "for grinding" into a rough mixture. Don't add water while grinding

(4)Add this grinded coconut mixture to the mashed tapioca and mix it well. Make a salt test here. Heat it in low flame. Mean while heat oil in a pan and temper with the ingredients given under "for tempering". Pour and mix it into the mashed tapioca pieces. Heat the contents till all water evaporates.
(3)Grind all the ingredients under "for grinding" into a rough mixture. Don't add water while grinding

(4)Add this grinded coconut mixture to the mashed tapioca and mix it well. Make a salt test here. Heat it in low flame. Mean while heat oil in a pan and temper with the ingredients given under "for tempering". Pour and mix it into the mashed tapioca pieces. Heat the contents till all water evaporates.
Have it with fish curry:)
